God Wants You To Fly

Burdens Give Us Wings

By Abraham Israel

An old legend relates that long ago God had a great many burdens which He wished to have carried from one place to another on earth, so He asked the animals to lend a hand. But all of them began to make excuses for not helping: the elephant was too dignified; the lion, too proud; and so on. Finally the birds came to God and said, "If you will tie the burdens into small bundles, we'll be glad to carry them for you. We are small but we would like to help."

So God fastened upon the back of each one a small bundle, and they all set out walking across the plain to their destination. They sang as they went, and did not seem to feel the weight of their burdens at all. Every day the burdens seemed lighter and lighter, until the loads seem to be lifting the birds, instead of the birds carrying the burdens.

When they arrived at their destination, they discovered that when they removed their loads, there were wings in their place, wings which enabled them to fly to the sky and the tree tops.

They had learned how to carry their burdens, and their loads had become wings to carry them nearer to God. Burdens we carry for others may become wings of the spirit, to lift us into happiness such as we have never known.

Even though this is a hypothetical story, there is a great truth behind it. You know Jesus said,
"28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matt 11:28-30). Just like the birds volunteered to carry the great many burdens of God and were blessed by God to fly high as a result of it, if we choose to take the yoke of Jesus in carrying out the burden of Father God's heart for this present generation of souls that are perishing and are longing for the word of God, then we will be able to learn the eteral character of Jesus by experientially receiving the grace of God to become like Jesus and walk in the world like Him. Saints believe me, there is no greater reward we can receive in this life and in the life to come than inheriting the character of God and walking in the purity of His life acting from within us. Actually when we agree to take the burden of God for perishing and wandering souls, actually Jesus gets yoked with us in our spirit man and starts to walk through our physical bodies on planet earth. Thus we become a living sacrifice for God to walk through us, as a result of it we no more walk in our strength but let God be the strength of our day to day walk, such life becomes the conduit of God's blessing to the world.

Are you ready? You are asking me for what, to let God walk through us. As the gentle and lowly heart of Jesus' character is displayed by our sacrificial life of ours, God will be very pleased with our life and will shower His abundant favor and blessing upon us and our family for generation after generation. As we continue to be yoked with Jesus, our soul will become lighter and lighter with the heavenly Presence of God and we will start to fly with the heavenly wings of the Spirit, higher and higher in joy, peace and righteousness of God. We can never rise up with wings like young eagles until we wait for the Lord to act through us and remain in the rest that God provides supernaturally in our souls
(Isa 40:31). GOD'S BURDEN IS ALWAYS LIGHTER THAN THE HEAVIEST OF ALL HUMAN LOAD OF WORRIES BECAUSE WITH GOD'S BURDEN COMES HIS SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH TO CARRY IT.

Yes truly as we carry the burden of God more and more through carrying the burden of our fellow unsaved humans, welfare of Brothers and Sisters in prayer and loving our weak family members of our own family, God will give a supernatural wings of joy to us to make us fly in to spiritual realm of the supernatural life of heaven within our hearts. The more we carry God's burden in our heart, the lighter we will feel at each destination of our life. We will start to sing as we carry God's burden in our heart. I challenge you to ask God today to give you the burdens of His heart and help you carry it through his supernatural ability that he provides. Once you start to carry God's burden day after day, your heart will become lighter and lighter that you will have a smile for every one you meet, a twinkle in your eyes for everything you see, a leap for every turn and a laughter for every word you speak that will gladden people's heart. You will never have a dull moment of heaviness in your heart because your God-given burdens will start to lift you up towards heaven as God carries you by His strength. But one important thing to remember, Your spiritual wings cannot be realised until you start to take the burdens of God's heart upon yourself voluntarily. So dare to take it to see the difference. Enjoy the abundant life of God and be enjoyed by him!
