Are False Prophets Called By God?

Can A True Signs and Miracles Worker Who Works It In Jesus Name Be Still Unsaved?

By Abraham Israel

"15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?" (Matt 7:15-16).

Here in the above verses, Jesus is simply pointing out the truth that the false prophets who are not saved really do not have the ability to display the character of Jesus in their lives. When Jesus speaks about the fruits, he is referring to the character of God which was described by Apostle Paul in Gal 5:22-23 which says, "22 ...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." These same false prophets in the succeeding verses were said to have called Jesus as their Lord on earth and also displayed powerful gifts of the Spirit in their lives (1 Cor 12:11), and the amazing thing is that Jesus did not deny what they have claimed to have done, which implicitly shows that all the prophecies were given, demons were cast out and many wonders were truly done in His name (Matt 7:22). But one thing that Jesus said which was striking clear is that they did not do the will of the Father in heaven. What is the will of the Father in heaven? The apostle John revealed that the will of the Father is that Jesus should not lose all those who have believed in Him, whom the Father has given him, and that all should be raised up on the last day of rapture, which Jesus promised to do without fail (John 6:39-40).

This clearly points out that the false prophets were not the backslidden believers who have lost their salvation, but these were those who were never saved at all. This was confirmed by Jesus when He said,
"I never knew you;...you who practice lawlessness." (Matt 7:23). Notice, Jesus did not say, "I knew you intially when you were saved and then I forgot you when you continued practicing iniquity after you were saved." All the true sheeps who are born again are know by Jesus without fail because Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice and, and I know them" (John 10:27). Apostle Paul said, "19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”" (2 Tim 2:19). The Lord God seals once and for all time, all the true believers with the Holy Spirit from the day they accept themselves as sinners and Jesus as their Lord and Saviour (Eph 1:13). Then the Holy Spirit himself becomes a gurantee to the believers that we are God's purchased possesion until the day of rapture (Eph 1:14). No where in the New Testament, God ever even one time gives a small or indirect clue of unsealing a believer again because of his works, and this shows that we as believers in Jesus Christ are hundred percentage saved by grace through faith which is a gift of God and not by our works that we can ever boast (Eph 2:8-9). Either we are saved for eternity by God's grace or we are not saved at all. The false prophets were ministers of the grace of God, but they were never saved at all. Then if we see what for they were serving in Jesus name, firstly it is because they were called by God sovereignly before they were born (Rom 11:29). Then secondly, adulterous eyes must have driven them to seek fleshly fulfillment (2 Peter 2:14; 2 Tim 3:6; Jude 4, 7-8, 10, 19). Thirdly, a coveteous heart would have made them do what they did inorder that they may acuire earthly things for themselves (Php 3:18-19; 1 Tim 6:5, 9). Finally, as they spoke from themselves to get self glory, they were led to crave for power finally, which would have motivated them to work in Jesus name (John 5:44; 7:18; 8:50; Gal 1:10; Php 1:16; 2 Tim 3:5; 2 Cor 11:8, 12-15).

The fruit of the flesh that we notice in false prophets are the number one sign to know them. It is not the ministry but the character of Jesus in the minister who ministers that should characterize a ministry to be a true or false one. Usually people do see it the other way around and then stumble when the minister shows who they really are in the inside of them and to whom they actually belong to
(Matt 7:15; 1 John 2:19). All gifts are secondary to character of the vessel that carries the anointing. True prophets will have a heart connection with the Lord who puts the word of God in their mouth. It is so sad that many still do not believe that a minister can lead a person to eternal life without himself having eternal life within because of the unchangeable gifts and calling that God gives (Rom 11:29). Two main thing of note with which we can find a false apostle or a prophet is by understanding that mainly they are workers of iniquity with a adulterous eyes and a heart full of lustful inclinations, then they will be coveteous and ask for money constatnly because of a heart filled with covetousness and therefore they will go after the money of people with their smooth words of false doctrines (2 Peter 2:1-3, 10, 14-17). As God's people, we must LEARN TO MATURELY TEST THE FALSE PROPHETS AND APOSTLES BY THEIR CHARACTER AND AVOID THEIR EVIL INFLUENCE IN OUR LIVES (1 John 4:1; Rev 2:2). Blessings....
