RE : Was Mother Theresa Saved?

Can a Catholic Be Saved And Still Stay With In The Catholic Church In God's Will?

Feedback Question : A reply to the post titled, "Was Mother Theresa Saved?"

Catholicism is full of darkness. But until Catholics see the true light of Christ...they'll keep believing that their darkness is light. I was born and raised as a Catholic, so I have no problem judging this false religion. Anyone who truly loves God and reads his true word...will be convicted and leave Catholicism. The Holy Spirit would not allow them to feel comfortable in a religion saturated in idolatry. Idolaters will NOT inherit the kingdom of God. Period. That is clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 6:9. Are you trying to call God a liar? That is very dangerous. If you study God's word...you will learn quickly that followers of Catholicism are not saved. The Holy Spirit of God will not allow Christians to stay in a religion full of idolatry. Period. God set me free from Catholicism about 27 years ago.

Catholics are idol worshipers. I know this for a fact because I was born and raised Catholic. The religion is saturated in idolatry. So please stop falsely accusing me and wrongly judging me.

A saved Catholic could no more stay within idol loving Catholicism than a saved satanist could stay in a satanic church. They both worship false gods. Period.

"Mother Teresa" did not live the Bible. She rejected it. If she had lived it...she would have departed from a false religion where they worship idols. She would have joined a true Christian church and loved the Christian brethren. And you saying, "Have you done .01 percentage of what she has done to the poor, lepers, sick and the needy? Then you have no rights to comment on her salvation at all," it is nonsense. Nobody gets to heaven by their good works. Get a King James Bible and study it. Idolaters do NOT inherit God's kingdom. You can read that in 1 Cor 6:9. You need to study and believe God's word.

God teaches us in 2 Cor 6:14-18 that we must come out of and be separate from idol worshiping and he will receive us. You are trying to say that someone can stay in that evil and God will receive them. You have put yourself above God and openly contradict him. That is very dangerous and you should repent of that. What about Galatians 5:18-24?

Answer : Greetings in Jesus wonderful name! We are saved to do good works, but good works cannot save us, the only thing that can save us humans is the God's work of Jesus the Christ who died on the Cross to save us from sin and death.

If what you say is right, then what about Gideon who was one of the faith warrior but later was involved in idol worship that became a snare to him and his family (Jud 8:27), was he saved or not? That shows that God does not save any humans by their works, but by His grace alone. Solomon the king was saved or not because later in his life he also worshiped idols against the will of God? I mean just because they are saved by God's grace doesn't keep them from reaping the consequence for their sins of worshiping idols, which is they lost the favor of God over their lives. In fact their sins affected the blessings of the later generations which came through them and brought great loss to them as a whole. So for sure the consequence of the idol worship will destroy God's blessing in this life to the level of a person's involvement of it in one's lives and also will affect their later generations unless they repent. It will also affect the eternal blessings that come through this earthly life which Jesus said as, " 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matt 6:19-21). In other words Jesus is saying, if you allow your heart to love idols of this world, your treasures in heaven that will be stored by God for you will become less and less or even go to a nil state if that is the way a believer will live until the end of his life (1 John 2:15-17).

God will try his best to chastise a believer when He lives rebelliously against His Holy Word as they are His sons, but if they resist it, they may even die physically or God might leave them in the pitiable state of life without any repentance in it which will be equal to that of living a life under the wrath of God physically (Heb 12:6-7; 1 Cor 11:27-28, 29-30, 31-32; Heb 10:29-30; 6:6-8; 2 Cor 5:9-10, 11).

Don't categorize people of God with Satanist, that is not right, God gives a clarion call to the Catholic church of the end before the Great Tribulation to come out of the bondage of works to get saved by saying, ""'Come out of her, my people,' so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;" (Rev 18:4). What does that mean? If people of God were not present in this Babylonian Church, why should God tell them to come out, or else even if they are not coming out, He should warn them that they will also receive her plagues. Salvation is by faith and faith only. Do not try to bring your works to it. A person may get saved, then it may take time for him/her to take a decision and move out of the dead place where they have got stuck and got used to it for years and years from the past. See a person gets saved by believing Jesus, then suppose he is caught up by his friends in the same place, his works are not good. Does God will unsave that person, just because he struggles to come out of his place of bondage, no instead he will help him understand to move out of it and walk in the blessing of abundant life and freedom that Jesus gives. It may not happen in an instant, but over a period of time it will happen or even if it doesn't happen by them staying stubbornly in that place of bondage, definitely it will destroy their spiritual life on earth but it will not alter their salvation as they were saved by Jesus apart from their works. So do not try to categorize people by what they are, but rather how they have believed God. Every person who has believed Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior to repent towards God will be saved by God based on their belief and not based on their behavior. Though a good behavior will follow a truly saved experience, the good behavior is only a fruit of faith and not a prerequisite which saves the sinners. Once a person gets saved, that is they will know they are sinners in need of the Savior Jesus all the time, then they will be convicted within when they sin by the Holy Spirit, and they will confess their sins and will live by faith which will give them a clean heart to see God working through their lives. Good fruit will follow a person's belief for the Glory of God!

JESUS SAVES BY HIS GRACE!

So a person inside the Catholic church may get saved by believing in Jesus, but if he remains there without any growth further in his faith, he will not be blessed in this life and in the life to come too. They will feel the loss so much, that the emptiness will drive them out to a Spirit-filled Church as soon as possible. Even if they stay within the catholic church, in spite of that all, that doesn't unsave him. Whether something is argued or not, it doesn't matter. Do we believe what the Bible says as it is? In John 3:16, Jesus said that whosoever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus meant what He said, or else he would not have said it at all. Also Jesus said, that when He gives whosoever believed Him the eternal life, they shall never perish (John 10:28). Jesus really meant what He said! Period. I mean when a person becomes saved by faith, he cannot perish after that even by his own works. I believe that a saved person cannot get unsaved. The Bible doesn't speak about it at all? Can you give me a verse?

Do not think that I condone sin, all that I am trying to say is, even though sin thrills it will definitely kill the great abundant life of Jesus that He provides in which a package of joy, peace and righteousness are involved in it, but it cannot affect our relationship with God anymore than a heat wave can affect a camel in the desert, because Jesus has opened up an oasis of water for all the thirsty sinners from within themselves, and even rivers of living water to flow out of every believer so that other thirsty sinners can get abundantly filled with the water that comes out of them (John 4:13-14; 7:37-39). Because Jesus has got condemned instead of all the believers who believe Him, now there is no more any condemnation for any sins of their lives from God anymore forever and ever (Rom 8:1). Sin cannot affect the eternal destiny of the believers, but it can affect their earthly and eternal prosperity if they allow sin to rule in their lives instead of God perpetually (1 Cor 10:6-7, 8-9, 10-11; Rom 15:4; Heb 3:12-13, 14-15, 17, 18-19).

First of all, I know that because of your background in your Catholic Church that you have come from you are speaking like that. The bondage that has kept you in the past is making you say such a strong statement. Hello Brother,
2 Cor 6:14-18 in context is saying, come out of the darkness of Satan by having no intimate communion with unbelievers or their traditions, and believe the Scripture which points to Jesus to be saved is what it is revealing. He is not saying you to judge who is a believer and who is a unbeliever who act as a believer, Ok...fruit of faith is the works we do for Jesus. You do not judge the servant of Christ who is Mother Theresa all her life. You are also judging all the Biblical character who faltered in all their lives somewhere. Ok. Then you are judging yourself above the Word of God by saying, I know more than God who is in heaven and who is in hell. You have not seen the work of Mother Teresa, I know I have been there once by the grace of God where Mother Teresa did her humble work. So don't blurt out emotionally and relate to the Word of God to pick up and justify yourself. 1 Cor 6:9, SAYS SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU within its context of the sins which some of the Corinthian believers were struggling with because of their past involvement which tempted them in to sin against their own will (1 Cor 6:11; Rom 7:20), that is why it is saying of our sins as those in the past time and not the present because in the present all our sins the blood of Jesus washes it all with out a trace of it anywhere in our lives (Isa 1:18). Do we not sin at all, no we sin (1 John 1:8), but God has declared us saints in Christ Jesus so that our works can line up with our faith (Php 4:21). There is no true Church of Jesus Christ that any one denomination can claim to be, be it protestant, charismatic, apostolic, pentecostal, evangelical, catholic, etc...but only the one Universal Church which is registered in heaven is the true Church which operates from heaven on earth of those whom only God knows each one by name (Eph 3:14-15; Heb 12:23; Rev 5:9-10; 13:8; 1 Peter 1:20). In every Church there are members, whether they are born again is what makes them be part of the eternal one Universal Church of Jesus Christ which is registered in heaven (John 3:3). Which you are describing as true Church in your language, tell me? I mean what is your Church and belief? Don't tell me I am the one true Church on earth because I am evangelical and use only King James Version of the Bible, so all should be part of it to make it to heaven. The Father God is beyond your denomination, He is God over all the earth and heavens, He is so so BIG that you cannot denominationalize Him anywhere.

Yes we need to daily repent of our sins of which one of the sins that God sees is the sin of judging other believers who are not like us in their belief, so we must repent of that too.

I believe what we judge is not whether some one is saved or not, that only God knows and He will judge at the right time. We ought to judge ourselves first and then judge others when they sin to tell what they do as sin and turn them to Jesus.

But before we judge righteously the sin of other believers we should make sure we consider the following verse from Paul before we do that, "1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load." (Gal 6:1- 5).

I can say that Catholics who have come to know themselves as sinners and ask God to forgive their sins through Jesus will be saved (Rom 10:13). Our belief saves us, not our behavior. That is why God gives a clarion call to the Catholic church of the end before the Great Tribulation to come out of the bondage of works to get saved by saying, ""'Come out of her, my people,' so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;" (Rev 18:4). We know the GREAT HARLOT BABYLON is none other than the catholic church (Rev 17:5-6, 18; 18:3). God has His people even within the Catholic church too who are saved, but stuck there because of their familial relationship. No believer has the right to judge any other believer, because all believers are God's servants. If we judge, God will judge us in the same scale we judge others. God is bigger than our church, denomination, doctrine to save those who call Him out of their heart. So we should never say anyone or anything as unclean when God has called something as clean and born again to show His love towards them through His salvation (Acts 10:9-23). I mean we cannot judge anyone as saved or unsaved until we come to stand before His throne one day to receive the prize for our works. We are here to love sinners, but hate their sins. So love, love and love others with a true heart until Jesus returns. But if someone call themselves as believers and lives a loose life of sinfulness without shame within the Church, it is the responsibility of the pastors, elders and believers to warn them of the consequence of sin or even excommunicated if they do not submit to the authority of the Church and rebelliously continue in sin (Matt 18:15-20). That is why apostle Paul said, "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?" (1 Cor 5:12, NIV). So I believe that we should be more concerned about the living than the dead who are not here, of which Mother Theresa is one (Mark 12:27). Take as a example whatever good can be taken out of her life, and leave the rest for God to judge in His time and reward her according to the works of faith she did in her life (Php 4:8; 1 Thess 5:21; Rom 14:9-10; 1 Cor 4:5).

Finally, Galatians 5:18-24 says, "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication (porneia), uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."

What does the above Scripture passages teaches us? Crucifying the flesh is a life long process and not just a one time event. So we must practice to walk more and more in the Spirit and be led by the Spirit, so that we will not just avoid sins, but grow mature enough to be more like the Son of God our Lord Jesus Christ in the fruit of the Spirit which is Christ's Character that we grown in our Character day by day after we are saved. Unless we are saved, we cannot bear the fruit of the Spirit. Once we are saved, we cannot lose our salvation. Praise the Lord!

God bless you!
